But she also wanted to send out a message with her story, a message inspired by a documentary about the mental abuse of woman in marriage. Seeing it shocked her, especially seeing the numbers and how hard it was to escape such a relationship. Out of all that she wrote the story of Sara and Benjamin. A woman finally free of an abusive husband and a man who recovered from alcohol abuse and depression to be the man Sara needed him to be. Yet simply bringing them together and letting them talk out the problems and challenges was not enough for her. Facing her first book release herself she also used the fears and doubts that come with it. In order to bring her main characters together she introduced a stalker, one who his vicious, sadistic and out for blood.
